What is medical provider credentialing?
Credentialing is the verification of a clinician's identity, education, training, licenses and other qualifications. It's different from privileging and from payer enrollment. Start early, and make sure every application, including the CAQH ProView profile many payers use, is complete, consistent and backed by current documents.
